Did you know that we all have two different kinds of hearts?
Just as your physical heart pumps blood through your body, your emotional heart sends your feelings throughout the world.
Where the physical heart needs blood, the emotional heart runs on hope.
Everybody knows the process of donating blood.
But fewer people know what to do when an emotional heart isn’t properly circulating.
Though we see the effects manifest as depression and anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can also lead to social isolation and withdrawal, mental illness, and even suicide.
What’s more is that many people suffer from broken emotional hearts through no reason but misfortune. These include trauma victims, family and friends of those who have died in mass tragedies, first responders, overworked and exhausted healers, and everyone who has been affected by a natural disaster.
However, just blood can be donated to help heal a physical heart, hope can be donated too.
How does this work?
Welcome to the HOPE Bank
The HOPE Bank is our reserve bank of healing art… messages of hope that can go to people where and when they need it most. Here’s how it works:
You paint a message or image onto a star, and Stars of HOPE will send it to someone in need.
It’s been proven that the act of painting a star helps the creator process their emotional pain. To donate hope, like blood, is a complex healing network (But it’s one where both activities go much better with cookies.
Stars of HOPE is the only non-profit organization that focuses on the emotional recovery of those who have suffered the unimaginable. If you’d like to donate hope, please click here to purchase a box of hope, or consider donating to the hope bank so we can deliver messages of love and support whenever and whoever it’s needed in the world.
