Volunteer for the 9/11 5k Community day Event
Join us on Sunday, April 27, 2025, as we help create messages of hope and healing through art at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum Community Event in New York City.
Art as a Bridge to Healing
Stars of HOPE, powered by Vibrant Emotional Health, invites you to be part of something powerful. Each year, we join the 9/11 Memorial Community Event to offer a quiet space for connection and reflection through creativity. Volunteers help community members paint messages of hope that are delivered to those impacted by disaster, transforming remembrance into resilience.

Volunteer Roles & Shifts
You may sign up for more than one shift as long as times do not overlap. T-shirts will be provided, and all supplies will be ready on-site.
- Setup Crew (6:00 – 7:30 AM) – Help unload supplies, set up tables and banners. Some lifting.
- Table Host (7:30 – 11:00 AM) – Welcome and guide guests as they paint. One host per table.
- Drying & Display (7:30 – 11:00 AM) – Help manage painted stars and arrange them on display.
- Supply Support & Floater (7:30 – 11:00 AM) – Refill materials and check in with each station.
- Break Coverage (9:00 – 11:00 AM) – Step in to relieve others for short breaks.
- Clean-Up Crew (11:00 – 12:30 PM) – Help pack up and leave the space better than we found it.

“Helping people paint messages of hope after such an emotional day was powerful. I didn’t expect it to be healing for me too — but it was.”
