#HOPE for TEXAS
We know everybody wants to be doing something for the people of Texas. And Stars of HOPE® is prepared.
After Hurricane Harvey struck Texas, at least 100,000 homes were affected, and an estimated 50,000 people are in shelters across the state, emergency officials reported. Over 600,000 individuals have applied for government assistance.
Stars of HOPE has its heart in Texas. Stars of HOPE was created in Groesbeck, TX and over the years, beautiful messages of resiliency, courage, strength and love have found their way to Galveston, Ft. Hood, Bastrop, West, Rowlett, and Houston.
It will take years for many people and communities to recover from the physical and emotional impact from Hurricane Harvey.
We will be on the ground to bring HOPE to communities like Rockport, Port Aransas, Beaumont, Port Arthur, and many others. We will deploy Stars of HOPE to schools, first responders, hospitals, churches, synagogues and temples, as well as local everyday heroes.
We will be part of the long, long term recovery of Texas, and you can too. The unique approach behind Stars of HOPE is that we took a simple art project and turned it into a public art display in a disaster zone. This allows us to give inspiration and emotional support to thousands of disaster survivors within devastated communities who see these messages of encouragement and compassion throughout the long-term recovery phase of disasters.
Paint #starsofhopeusa at home or work today and we will get them to Texas.
